Honest answers to fair questions.
Is Under the Holo a grading company?
No. Under the Holo provides independent condition analysis and estimated grading ranges. We do not issue certified grades and cannot guarantee the result assigned by another grading company.
Is the estimated grade guaranteed?
No. Our estimate is a professional, evidence-based opinion of the likely range. Certified graders apply their own standards and their result may differ.
Are you affiliated with PSA, CGC or BGS?
No. We are fully independent and have no affiliation with any grading company or card manufacturer.
Do you authenticate cards?
We document what we observe under magnification and can flag signs that warrant further investigation, but we do not issue formal authentication certificates.
What cleaning or preservation work do you perform?
Only careful, non-invasive handling. We never alter, trim, press or chemically treat a card. Preservation means protecting the card exactly as it is.
Will my card be permanently sealed?
No. The optional display case is designed so the card can be removed at any time without damage.
Can I submit the card to PSA after your inspection?
Yes. Nothing we do prevents later submission. Many customers use our report to decide whether submission is worth the cost.
Can my inspection be shown on YouTube?
Only with your explicit permission. You choose during submission whether your card may appear in our content.
What is the Holo Passport?
A digital record of your card: photography, measurements, inspection notes and history, linked to a unique ID and QR code. Every published record is searchable in the public registry.
How are cards protected during the inspection?
Cards are handled with gloves in a controlled workspace, stored in archival sleeves, and photographed without any contact that could affect the surface.
